Sorry for the lack of updates, I can only assume this was a tough time for you all without my guiding light. Sadly work, health, money, car and time troubles have effected well everythng. But still I have got a second look at Kirsten’s Hrud, for the first article click here. On to the artist herself:
Kirsten: “These are two WIP Riptides for my Hrudd force. When the Mortarchs first came out I knew I had to use them for something, they were too awesome not to. A lot of hacking and one destroyed Screaming Bell and two Warpfire Cannons later, and I had two basic mounts with wooden platforms for a driver to perch on.”

Kirsten: “The weapons were a Warpfire cannon, the heavy burst cannon is from a ForgeFiend and the missile pod is most of an Empire Helblaster Volley Gun. Somewhere I have tiny missiles I’m going to add into a couple of the barrels. There are a lot of tiny pins all over the place in these two, as a lot of the connections on the models are tiny and fairly fragile. So whilst it looks like it would fall apart quite easily, it can actually take a beating.”

Kirsten: “The heavy burst cannon Riptide has only one point of connection with the base – the claw holding onto the scenery. There are two entire paper clips in that leg and building…”

Kirsten: “Next project: finish the Stormsurge Zombie Dragon and get painting…”
Rory: “Also totally not jealous that you lot are off playing at Warhammer World today… ye jerks.” 😉
