We have reached the end of Squaduary 2022! All that is left is to scourge the internet and my email for the final photos.
Squaduary runs through the month of February and aims to help people get a new squad built and painted. Throughout the month you pledge, build and paint a set of troops for your army. The aim is to get some of your grey plastic pile and turn them into painted troops on the battlefield. Some models may have been partially built, some may have been base coated, but it is up to you. These minis could be from Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar, Bolt Action or anything else. Don’t feel it has to be Game Workshop only.

Orruk warband ready for WARCRY and other Games Workshop shenanigans. I may touch them up a little more, or I may move onto another project. But thanks to #squaduary, I’ve started painting again.

“I completed my Squaduary pledge this year, a squad of five Space Marine Bikers including a Sergeant. These have been on the to-do pile for a long time but I wanted them done before I attempt a Primaris Outrider Squad or the really great Primaris Chaplain on a Bike.”

“I don’t even want to think about the total hours spent painting this week. I’m not really complaining, this is completely fresh for me. I think 40k was going a bit stale and I needed to do something different for a while (the grimdark will inevitably draw me back in).”

“Brushes down, I have completed my pledge to paint this squad of five Adeptus Custodes models. To be fair, its a squad of three Custodian Wardens, a character (Vexilus Praetor), and a lone Custodian Guard model that will join an existing squad painted a while back.”
Thousand Eyes
I managed to get my Legion of the Dammed Outriders over the line in the end. With some Tesseract Glow helping to light up the bike screens and the lenses in the helmets. While there are certainly better painted Legion of the Dammed out there I am rather proud of these. I had been worried about filling in all that blank space, but freehand flames are a lot of fun.

Still needs some application of Liquid talent and a touch of tidying up but I’m happy with the end result on these sisters.
Well there we go, another year done and a bunch of new models ready for the tabletop. I’d like to thank everyone again for taking part, from full squads to partially painted, we all got some paint on. It is all about baby steps.
