+++The Stone Gauntlet: Imperial Fists+++

Ok so something just didn’t sit right with me on my Imperial Fists. As such I went looking for inspiration and noticed a number of other painters had used black shoulder pads. So I tried a quick test mini and I like it so much I did the rest in one sitting. So pictures!

Everything is still WiP as the shoulder pads will need some battle damage and general wear and tear. The cataphractii in particular need a lot of work done still but are coming along nicely. Rather than keep the heavy flamer that comes with the squad I went and converted an assault cannon up for the squad. I might as well take advantage of the Seventh’s rules to take them.

While I was at it the Breachers got a run over with the black shoulder pads as well, which I think helps break up the colours well. I added on some old Imperial Fists transfers as well, thanks for Commissar Feldwick. Sadly I was not very good at getting them to adhere around the curve of the pad. Any tips or tricks on that folks?
