Warhammer 30K Horus 1: The Warmaster arrives

By | 02/27/2016
Don’t worry folks I am only dipping my toes into 30K. But if I am going to do it I might as well start at the top, Horus Lupercal. Below are my progression pictures and I have really been taking my time. All the thin layers.
Ultimately I have chosen to go with the white armour he is described as wearing in the first book of Horus Hersey series. Lots of tips and guidance needed though, feel free to comment and let me know.
I’ve left of Horus’s head and cape to make painting him easier, also he is not actually glued onto the eagle at this stage.
This basic wash was done to give me a chance at look at the details.

My first experiments with trying the black armour on the Warmaster, in the end I didn’t go for this.
You can see on the steps that I was just finding out about washing a resin mini before painting it.
Terrible picture but this is some of the base colours going on.
Here he is, starting to look a bit more like the Lupercal he is meant to be. Very happy with the white armour.
